The Equinox 700 sits in the metal detector range just above the Equinox 600 and below the 800 and 900. As with the Equinox 900, the Equinox 700 has a telescopic, carbon fibre stem, ensuring that weight is kept low, and that space is never a factor when the machine is not in use. The machine also boasts the new improved 5 metre waterproof rating, and also the new style arm cup (as seen on Minelab’s flagship coin and treasure detector, the Manticore).
The Equinox 700 also uses Multi-IQ, Minelab’s patented multi-frequency detecting system, which allows the machine to search on multiple frequencies at the same time. This additional information provides a better representation of the targets below ground and therefore allows the detectorist a sophisticated decision-making process.
Prices will retail at £799 and is a great option at a great price for those who want the newest in Equinox hardware and software but don’t have the budget for the Equinox 900.
